QuizQualify Ltd ("we", "us", "our") is the data controller for personal data collected through quizqualify.com and the QuizQualify application. We are committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

1. Data we collect

Account data: When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, and authentication credentials (managed by Clerk).

Quiz respondent data: When someone completes a quiz created with QuizQualify, we collect their email address, first name, last name, and quiz answers. This data is stored on behalf of our customers (who are the data controller for their respondents).

Usage data: We collect anonymous usage analytics via PostHog, subject to your cookie consent.

Error data: We collect error reports via Sentry to improve our service.

2. Legal basis for processing

We process account data under contract (to provide our service). We process quiz respondent data under legitimate interests of our customers. We process usage data under consent (which you can withdraw at any time via our cookie banner).

3. Data retention

Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. Quiz respondent data is retained until you delete it or delete your account. You can request deletion of a specific respondent's data at [email protected].

4. Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to: access your data, correct inaccurate data, request deletion ("right to be forgotten"), restrict processing, and data portability. To exercise these rights, email [email protected].

5. Data transfers

Data is stored on Supabase (EU West, Ireland). Authentication is handled by Clerk (US-based, EU adequacy measures apply). Email is handled by Resend (US-based, SCCs in place).
